Pansies, the perfect little kitchen pick-me-up!
It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had a long-lasting, legitimate winter here in Central Ohio. There were lots of very cold days and plenty of snow that lingered around on the ground for weeks. You’d see kids playing and sledding, excited about their extra days off from school. It’s my absolute favorite; that peaceful feeling a few quiet days with newly fallen snow brings. They felt like free days to me, too.
Now, almost without even noticing, the days are getting longer and the air is beginning to feel warmer. As a horticulturist, I notice the buds on the trees plumping up, and tips of spring green appearing in the gardens. Sure signs that Spring is on the way, and just in time! I am ready to see the all the spring bulbs in bloom.
We are designing the first of our Contained Gardens using beautiful, happy pansies and alyssum, accented with tall, blooming branches. Paired with a custom designed wreath or swag for the front door, we’ll have our clients ready to celebrate a stylish start to the season!
